Disney already has the setup it needs for its third villain movie. Since 1994, Disney has been transforming its cherished animated classics into live-action adaptations. However, they are missing the chance to craft more compelling stories by putting a twist into the original tales. The first Disney film to get a live-action remake was 1967’s The Jungle Book, becoming Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book in 1994. From The Jungle Book to Disney’s most recent release, The Little Mermaid in 2023, the company has remade 21 of its classic animated films, with two of them being focused on established villains.
