Among Final Fantasy 16 characters, Dion Lesage is one of the most willing to risk his life, but the game leaves his ultimate fate open to interpretation. FF16 has a high body count. Much of its cast dies tragically, with even main characters often on the chopping block. It only makes sense, since FF16 has one of the darkest stories in the series to date. Many characters are subject to pointless, politically-motivated violence, while others sacrifice themselves for greater causes. Still, everything happens for a reason; character deaths are frequently used to grow and change the survivors, or to deepen their relationships with those who remain.
