High Desert is a dark comedy series that tells the story of Peggy (Patricia Arquette), who makes some life-altering decisions after losing her mother (Bernadette Peters). She decides to become a private investigator and unexpectedly stumbles upon a major art scam. While her siblings try to bring her back down to Earth, Peggy digs her heels in and ends up creating more problems than she’s able to solve.
